after 2 years here ,you have to get mot or in my case a vrt for commericals, they check everything,if any bulb dont work, they fail you, they used to let you off with bulbs but not anymore ,they go looking for more, you could have everything up to spec and still wonder if you pass, its tested every year on manfacturers birthday
cost 90 euros for commerical and 55 euros for regular

50 euros here.

Don't be to harsh on the poor MOT mechanic, they too are controlled by other people.

I used to do these inspections and if they decide to check your work and the car has a problem you've 'overlooked' they can now suspend your lisence.

So you get a nice pay-cut from your boss since you are not able to preform MOT inspections...

Hi... :D

They could not get a reading from the exhaust with the Bosch machine, they revved the engine up for over 20 times and only when they red lined it they got a reading but even that was extremely low.

Um...you let them RED LINE your truck????

Not a flash idea. I would red line THEM if they did that to MY truck :dizzy:

Hi

2000 rpm would be putting max airflow out the tail pipe. I would litterally kick them in the arse if they did that to my car. I wouldn't let the testers here put the park brake on whilst on the rolling road either even though they said they have to. I told them if Land ROver say it shouldn't be done then it won't be done. It is a PARK BRAKE not a hand brake. :grim:

Anyhoo, I found another place that knows about cars instead of Ipods :frankie:
