fitting my snorkel this weekend, been putting it off for while,as need to be that frame of mind to start drilling hole in my kj
made a deal with few friends who will drill hole to fit it and i'll drill holes in there kit to fit
abit of work in it with 3 layers in drivers side fender,be worth it in end
this is how its done like on the aussie forum ,only difference is they used a demo type and i have finish type ,it show in first picture you can see inside snorkel but with mine you cant, its all incased,so the paper temp plates you have to use only and cant compare with like they show in first 2 photos, you just have to make all holes and bolt on from inside after you remove outer skin of fender, other than that ,its the same,so no drinking night before :(

looking forward to it now :)

biggest part of the job is drilling holes on out side fender skin,,from what i can see couple of blots on top of fender ,one bolt in side door area, one bolt at bottom of fender, may be more ,all i can see for now,the paper temp plates provided are ok ,but not the best, you have to layout with temp plate and drill holes ,theres 4 9mm holes and main hole which is 76mm [3 inches]
once the holes are made on outside skin, you have to take off outer fender skin so the snorkel can be bolted on from the inside of outer fender skin and then processed to drill the 76 mm hole to next skin but it not quiet round hole as more oval and the do same to third fender skin near air box,but the last fender skin has to be done from engine at air box with air box removed
the air box has also to be modified too
so good breakfast before we start
:) :)

How did this go - did it go on ok? I've bought a snorkel, but won't get around to fitting it for a few months.
