Samco hoses have arrived ,i have test fitted them ,and the news is good, well almost.Hoses are correct shape and diameter but as you can see from pics the Turbo hose is slightly shorter than stock. The result is the hose fits but will not allow any clearance as it travels over the ribbed airbox pipe, this is not a major issue as both pipes are made of soft materials and the contact is only gentle , but i have told Mark at Samco that i feel the hose should be made around 35mm longer to ensure a perfect fit.He has agreed and is sending out another longer turbo hose for testing.I'm still running the test set as they do fit but would fit perfectly with the addition of the extra length. The quality of the hoses is superb and with the addition of the special lining should give us no problems and will probably outlast the jeep.Pics below

We are almost there, but i feel the fit should be perfect as the hoses are not cheap (cheaper than stock rubbish though) and samco agrees they want them to be a correct fit.Production should be starting very soon. :)

Wow! Great job!

And you are right, since my turbo is even smaller I would need that extra lenght for a perfect fit.

Thanks again for all your work.

If you don't mind I'll put this pics up on Jeepkj and Aussiejeep as well.

Nice green lawn you have there btw :D

Update ,i,m still running the hoses Mark sent and i have interesting findings ,my boost seems to have increased making acceleration feel stronger, and the best bit my mpg has improved significantly, i have run 3 tanks of diesel since fitting the hoses and i'm getting a lot further to a tank (no exact figures).I cannot say for sure why but i havent done anything else to the car ,it could be down to the fact the originals leak oil/air as they are pourous i just dont know.

Here we go hoses are ready for order, phoned mark at samco and he said he will email me later today or tommorow morning with a group buy supplier .prices are as follows
Samco part TB2750 OEM PART 52079800AD RRP.£75.06 INTERCOOLER TO MANIFOLD
Samco part TB2751 OEM PART 52079801AE RRP.£74.08 TURBO TO INTERCOOLER
Hose clip kit £9.26
You dont have to use their clips ,but make sure the ones you use do not bite into the hose as it might invalidate your warranty. And the hose clamps they sent to me were top quality so worth changing in my opinion. So we are just waiting on the details of the retailer nominated for group buy. :)

Right here goes ,spoken to nominated distributor and managed to get 25% discount on hose kits and also on the clips as long as we have 5-6 kits from them,if we can get the order to around 12 kits i can get another 2 1/2%.
Kits are now £111.86 + vat
hose clip set £6.95+ vat
colours are red,blue,black
if you want white!!! camoflage, silver ect it will be 20% dearer.
To try and save costs he wants to post them all to one address at a cost of £15.00 for the entire lot,so we will need to split that cost amongst those who want them. And then i would post them to each member as cheaply/securley as possible. If we can get enough interest he will post directly to each buyer. He takes visa /debit card payments. So we need to know definate numbers. Oh and i got him to give 25% to buyers needing the later Us style kits also. :)

Ok, great job Jimmy.

Can someone tell me how much VAT you guys pay? So we can get a price in €. I'll calculate with the highest discount because I think around 8 sets need to come my way :D

We are now talking 150€+VAT?

Hi Jimmy - I've posted a reply on the sticky above - but to confirm that I'd like a set in Blue for an 05 2.8 CRD, and I'l have a set of the clamps as well. As we're both in England - would a payment by cheque be ok? Just let me know how much and your name and address and I'll get it off to you.
Thanks for all the work mate - top job! :D

Jimmy can you handle the shipping questions? I think Royal Mail would be the best/ cheapest option, right?

Here's something I wrote in the previous US Samco thread:

tonycrd wrote:
Keltick: I still think it's not a US / Europe thing, it's an age thing. The '05 -'07 have another set up.

Jimmy has a 2.8 and NO electric cooling fan.

In the first thread Sir Sam started about this we already checked part numbers and '05-'07 have the same numbers in US/AUS/EU. But: the guy who checked the EU numbers is Jinstall who drives a US CRD in germany...Anyway, we can safely assume that all '05-'07's have the same hoses since our friends from Down Under verified this.

’05-’07 2.8

55038729AA - Inlet CAC
55037730AD - Outlet CAC

’01-’04 2.5/2.8 (numbers may vary a bit depending on year )

52079800AA turbo to intercooler
52079801AB intercooler to inlet manifold

IMO: The oldies problem lies here, because of the fan the '05-'07's radiators are more to the rear. My Aircon rad sticks out in FRONT of the hood support beam.

Old Hose way longer. ( also a 2.8 )

Also note there were a couple of changes to the part numbers on 2001-2004 mopar hoses, just the letters at the end of the code ,but the hoses are the same according to information given by dealerships.
