My mother in law bought herself a brand new Audi 80 TDI back in 1992, she had it maintained at the Audi dealerships for the first 5 years and then all services and repair where done by a local guy. So now, 16 years and 450.000 km after she bought it, it developed a problem and it would not start properly, the local guy could not fix it so she went to the official Audi dealer. She was made very welcome, enjoyed a cup of tea and was told that as the part was not in store, they would pick up her Audi when the part was in and bring it back after the repair (40 km away). So a couple of days later they did, only charged her for the repair which was quite cheap to begin with and the day after checked with her over the phone if everything was ok with her Audi and if she was happy with the garage and repair. A couple of Hours later Audi itself gave her a ring to check if she was happy with the car, the repair and Audi service she enjoyed. Remember this is a 16 year old Audi which has not seen a dealership for the last 11 years, this makes me all warm and fuzzy and makes me want to buy an Audi to. Audi A5 here we come, just have to convince the wife we need a second car. |

Just don't get one with a turbo. The Audi dealer wanted $6500 to fix it so it went by by. |
