Hi guys,
It's now over 6 months that I sold the KJ and I'm sorry to tell you I only missed it once when I could not lend my mate's LR90.
The X3 is fantastic, I could never imagine that a car could have this much grip whatever the road conditions, I think that the X is for X-treme grip.
The drive is more hot hatch than 4x4 but I love it.
If you think of it as sporty all weather car instead of a full blown 4x4 you will get the concept
Wading dept is still 51 cm and deep snow is not a problem, I tried both and I'm impressed.
Dealer experience is great too, I had a burst washer pipe for the rear wash/whipe that soaked the carpet,I called the dealer, they said sorry, and they send out a guy with a courtesy car (brand new X3 M sport whow) to pick up my car and a week later he came back to do the switch again, this on it's own is something a Jeep customer can only dream about but imagine, the BMW dealer is 4 1/2 Hours drive away in Glasgow.
After a week of driving the X3 to work, my wife asked me why we ever bothered driving something else and I could not answer that.
Oh 43 MPG or 6,5L 100km is normal, top speed 198 km/h and that with permanent 4 wheel drive and it needs only servicing every 20.000 Miles and services are much cheeper than Jeep .
Imagine the X3 is priced around the same price as the KK here in the UK, no wonder the only Jeep dealer in the Scottish Highlands closed it's doors this summer.
