the kj had done well and given me 175k miles which is good but after thsi,it will be my last jeep ,parts are too costly as most have too be got at stealership and only small stuff can be got at local parts shop lile filters, its a pity but specialy in these hard times, getting too be too costly too keep it going, probly will replace next year, maybe the end,, and look at another brand of 4x4 which wont cost as much in parts, never thought i see thsi day comming but it is comming,,2 of my friends who had jeeps, kjs too,had too cahnge as they couldnt keep affording the expensive parts , and they changed too different brand of 4x4, :google:

It's a shame that Jeeps aren't more popular on that side of the pond with better parts availability. What you thinking of for the replacement?

Ahhh I can see them now (at work) :D

So is it just a flat blade screwdriver in a slot, and turn to adjust ?

Cheers mate

Yep, that's it. You should have the wheels of the ground, so you can check when the brake engages. Then back off two clicks.

If you want to make sure: remove the rear discs to check the brake shoes. They are notorious for crumbling (since they are so small and overheat easy) and loss of brake lining.

BTW..love your dog! Is that a blue pit?

Sounds simple enough cheers dude :D , tho I am thinkin summut has happened like you say, as the hand brake comes right to the last click and then only just stops the car moving :? , wouldnt stop it on a hill at the mo

and cheer's, his name is Max, and he's a blue Staffordshire Bull Terrier, though he is bigger than standard and looks very much like an APBT
