For about a $100 you can find Daystar puck lifts.

Although...the H&R springs are also pretty cheap.

Sounds about right. Fitting the rear shocks and springs on your own doesn't sound too hard mechanically speaking; the front is a different story as I believe that you have to use the top plate from the OEM suspension - not easy I gather unless you have a good set of spring compressors. I think TonyCRD has done it, and quite a few on LOST. You don't need to get new upper a-arms or ball joints with the OME kit, but new bump stops are a good idea and cheap insurance - although OME say you don't need them.

I'm thinkin along the lines of H&R springs now, but need to get part numbers for front and rear, and for exact shocks that match the H&R rear's ..

I have a pair of spring compressors (that will hopefully fit??) .. just need to make sure 100% that I get the right parts needed

If I understand correctly the link I sent you is for all 4 coils (front & rear), not bad for 240€ + Shipping to the UK from Germany, it looks very competive against Daystar spacers.
Just out of curiosity howmany miles do you have on your KJ now? if you have over 70K you might want to consider changing the shocks to at this stage.

Ah right, that is a good deal IMO! its just done 83k Fil, tho I'm positive its done no towing or off roading, just road miles :)

When you say changing the shocks, is that rear only ? or are there cheaper suppliers of front struts than OME ?

Andy,

I ment changing all four shocks. Tunning DE might be able to supply you the correct set of Bildstein shocks front and read (didn't get a chance to have a look when I got the link)

Mate your a star

I emailed H&R today, most of the reply was in german so didnt have a clue  ... but got the general gist, and the price worked out to around £207 !! (plus postage of course)

so yeah, just need to source struts that will match, and a pair of rear shocks, and it'll be time to get the spanners out

these are the part number for the Bildstein stuts & shock:

Struts Front. F4-BE5-D916-HO - BE5-D916 is now 24-139168
Shocks Rear F4-BE5-6458-H7 - you might need to call them for this one as it isn't listed.

Motorsports UK looks to have prices for these Bildstein shock at least the front ones
http://www.motorsportworld.co.uk/frame-detail.asp?PAGE=/bilstein-shocks.htm

I will see from Tunning webside if they stock the part. Otherwise you might need to order them fron the US again, here is the link:http://jeepinbyal.com/prod-BILSTEIN___Heavy_Duty_2_5__Lift_Rear-677.aspx

Andy

this is the Website: www.motorsportworld.co.uk , looks like they stock all Bildstein shock in the UK. You might get the front Struts, but for the back ones they will need to order them from Germany (might take some time)
