I recently ordered the stud plates from the Jeep dealer ($15 each). Today I got word that they arrived and I can pick them up. I should have a pair of M bolts for sale soon. :)

There aren't any part numbers above, but I did finally find them through the Just For Jeeps site with the pre-packaged kit.

Kit includes:
2 - 52059352AB Stud Plates
2 - 6504818AA Nuts
2 - 6503699 Screws
4 - 6101696 Nuts
I need a life today

Part 52059352AB stud plate is the replacement for the M bolt, the rest of the hardware should be the same.

Sorry, I'm an idiot.

Has someone ordered these from this site? It states on the hardware kit page "*Please note that the accessory Front Tow Hook for the Liberty (82206124) will have this hardware included." So if I order the tow hook kit, the m-bolts will be swapped with this hardware?

The hardware kit that came with my tow hooks had m bolts not stud plates. I ordered them from summit racing for $89.00 (I think). Had I known what I know now, I would've ordered the stud plates or made my own so that the stress of use would've been distributed better instead of pulling through the uniframe.
Another option would be to call Detoures and ask Mark if he ever came up with recovery points for the KK. He told me he had a good idea that wouldn't require cutting of any plastic.

I went with ordering just the stud plates from the dealer, with the thought that I have all the rest of the hardware and it's cheaper than getting the whole set. I'm hoping the nuts from the M bolts fit the stud plates too. I'll post back here once I find out if that's true.

It might still be cheaper if you had to go to hardware store for the needed parts and you would be able to get stronger pieces possibly.

Update:
The stud plates fit perfectly. They have about 5-10 times the surface area of the M bolts in contact with the frame. The nuts from the original kit fit the stud plates, so there was no other hardware to buy.

As I no longer need my M bolts, I put them up for sale. There always seems to be folks looking for these. My M bolts have never been stressed out, as I've never been pulled out by my tow hooks (yet!). They are still in mint condition. You can find them here:

You're right, my conscience couldn't let that stand. I added an informative disclaimer to my for sale thread. Someone who doesn't wheel might want tow hooks for the way they look, and for that the M bolts would do the job.
