Tools Needed

APPLY THE EMERGENCY BRAKE



First start by removing the rear converter panel from the rear of the center console

Next direct your attention to the shifter/4x4 cover panel

Once the rear of the panel is popped up, pull the panel towards the rear of the jeep

remove screw A

Image

And C...There are two screws inside the center console

Once this is done, unzip the brake boot and lift the console from the rear and position like this

When done, installation is the reverse

Thanks Digger, this was a great help over the weekend.

It looks like the e-brake boot has changed for the 2010 version, the bottom of the boot (under the console) is now glued to the console and there is no way to zip up the zipper if one track slips out like mine did :banghead: . Next time it is in the shop I will see what the dealership can do.

Thanks! This helped me alot during my stereo install and 12v socket additions. Unfortunately, the zipper on my boot was ruined in the process. You can order the boot separately, wth?!?
