OK, so I'm going to go out on a limb, what was the temperature outside when this ding happens? Our 09' Jetta TDI ding's when ever the temp reaches 39 degrees....

Same here diffrent temps diffrent times of the year day or night here but its been awhile since I have heard it.

ive had the same prob with the beeping. i pull over every time i hear it and check everything. but nothing seems to be the prob... really wierd....

Is it the ding for the passenger airbag turning off. The passenger airbag only turns off if you are driving for a while (I'm not quite sure on the exact time, maybe 5 min) and there is no one detected in the front seat. The next time it happens check to see if the yellow light down by the ESP and warning light buttons turns on.

it just happened to me today. it was beeping bc i left my blinker on too long.... so that might be the prob...

08 KKs have an issue with false TPS reading (light will not come on). Putting nitrogen in yer tires should solve it. I don't get the ghost chime anymore

YUP! Mine too!
Every now and then when I'm driving on the freeway it's a single beeping sound that sounds... I have an 08 KK completely stock.
