Post subject:  Oil Filter Guide
As some of you may know and if you don't know now you do, the 2008 and 2009 Liberty's have different oil filters. I don't know why it was changed but it is.

Here is a guide to help you find the right filter for your truck.

If I'm missing any send me a PM and I'll make the changes. As more come available for the 2009 I will update the list.

2008 Liberty 3.7L
OEM - 04781452BB
Mobil 1 - M1209
Champion - PH400
Fram Extra Guard - PH3600
Fram Tough Guard - TG3600
Fram Double Guard - DG3600
Fram Extended Guard - XG3600
Fram High Mileage - HM3600
K&N - HP2009

2009 Liberty 3.7L
OEM - 5184231AA

Fram Extra Guard- PH10590
Puroator - L22500

Fram - PH10060 (universal filter)
K&N - HP5001 (universal filter)
K&N - HP1018 (universal filter)
*note: The universal filters match up to the thread size and mounting diameter tho they may be a bit shorter or longer of the "direct" fit oil filters. They should work fine but there is no guarantee that they will work. They are just other options to try.

I have a 2009

I couldn't find the Fram Extended Guard XG10590 (or any other Fram 10590 for that matter)

The book said to use 10575, so I got the XG10575.

This is my first oil change on my used libby, and the filter i removed was the Parts Plus PH10060. From a visual comparison of size, the two filters looked identical, and the new XG10575 fit perfectly.

Don't forget WIX 51516 for the 2008.
