You don't need conduit nuts at all. Just measure and move it to that measurement and tighten.

You can do it that way, but over time from hitting bumps and vibration it will sag back to where it was. Best to use no more than 3/8" of clevis lift too.

no, no it will not!

Agree with hedslc, i have had a clevis lift on mine over 100k, hasnt moved. You need to torque the bolt correct.

So I guess I need to get an alignment after the clevis lift.

That’s true. Even 1/4” of difference at the spring or clevis translates into 1/2” of lift because of the geometry of the suspension, and you’ll find that after lifting even a small amount your alignment will be off, with too much toe in. Getting an alignment will make your Jeep safer and it will handle better and your tires will last longer.

I moved the clevis 5/16 and measured 1/2 lift. I just used spring compressors and loosened the clevis pinch bolt then used pry bar to slide the clevis down. The clevis was not up against a shoulder so I tightened it in the new position. I didn't have to remove the lower clevis bolt. The 1/2 lift leveled my 08 KK.
