Does JET provide any data backing up their performance increases? Have any of you who have the JET chips stage1 or 2 had any data logging/dyno'ing done? I can believe when someone tells me they get 2-3 more mpg, but I'd never believe any butt dyno's for chips, CAI's, and exhaust. I'd also be curious to see what the AFR's are with the JET chip, any data like this anywhere??

I'd never buy one unless these can be proven or has been well documented. The 2-3 mpg claims are great and all, but do they come at a cost (i.e. reduced engine life, etc)??

I saw some pictures of the JET chip installed on the ECU. Does any of you what engine components are on the other end of the wire harness that the JET chip is serialized into?

I'm guessing MAF and O2....... any of you buy those ebay 'chips'... yeah, I'd bet you'd get the same results from one of those as you would from JET.

I'm taking a stab that all the JET chip does is alters signals from you engine that tells you ECU that a) the engine is always cold, or b) it's running rich and should lean out the mixture. Both of these would bump the HP only slightly, but could cause problems down the road.

I'm just sayin'

Keep your $200-whatever it was to buy these things and spend it elsewhere.

I wasn't really looking for a hp increase, always nice to have, but I've always got an itch (mod bug).

Here's an expensive idea for HP. Donor engine the 260HP 4.0 V-6 from Dodge Nitro. I still think they should have done this an option for the KK. What do you think, would it be posible to fit one in our KKs?

It will fit no problem. Just find a KA in the R/T trim package and you are almost set. Because of the electronics, the conversion would suck......

electronics are the biggest issue.. hell i think you could even fit a 4.7 in the KK with very little modding, but getting allt he electronics to work, forget it it would be a nightmare

I was looking at the "GForce" chip for my 2010 KK. Advertises 60 HP increase + 4-7 MPG, run cooler, etc. Dyno tested $ back if not satisfied. It connects to ECU by two wires and "reprograms." In lite of what others have stated here sounds like I might as well save my money? :?:

If anyone got their hands on the super charger for the 3.7 you could see more power than that in a kj but they are now discontinued

jet admittedly doesn't test all of their products on every proposed application

with the KJ's, the Jet 1 dyno'ed worse than stock, Jet 2's provided some sort of increase that over time diminished as the computer learned over it

assuming KJ and KK electronics are similar enough to exhibit similar performance behaviors with the jet chips...

ignore Jet 1 and go with Jet 2 if you're going that route

otherwise contact B&G

Ive been trying to find one of these since I picked it up from the dealership in August. I read youd need to change out the pistons or some other inner engine components because they cant handle the boost. If I could find one, Id jump on it and change out whatever needed to be changed. An extra 30hp would make everyone happy. :) :) :)
