What do you guys think about me getting a K&N filter?
Do they really help for better air intake?
if not, what kind of filter should i get?
the stock KK filter is okay.. not great.
What do u guys think? :goink:

I might sell my K&N Intake when the snorkel comes out. I would just buy a stock filter if I was you though.

the bruteforce is better... plus it entails less maintenance. i believe they make K7&N drop in filters for the stock airbow?... i mean if you just want to repalce that filter i think its worth it, but as for the intake i would go with the bruteforce

I have used K&N drop in filters for years in my trucks. There is a claim that oil filters allow dirt into your engine. I disagree, all my dirt bikes had oiled filters, and K&N is used in many forms of off road racing.I think(not sure) it came from Ford not warranting vehicles with oiled filters because of a sensor problem.Mopar has sold oiled filters that would not void warranties. But I do not have K&N in my KK,I have this...

I think its more of a personal choice, you will get pros and cons from"experts". That do not have first hand knowledge of all the products. So that is why I bought Mopar, even though its made by AEM it was my choice. As I said before I have K&N in my 1995 V10, I noticed that the rubber was cracking and K&N sent me a new one under their million mile warrenty! After 15 years, now that is sevice.Find many products that would be replaced after that many years?

Reason why I like my K&N... known to flow well, i dont get dirt or oil collecting on the inside, you just have to clean/oil properly. the hard plastic tubing wont hold onto heat like an aluminum one would (i think, makes sense to me). and price, I got mine used, one the cheap. honestly youre not going to see a difference over the two, either way you have a free flowing intake. :2cents:

Every 15k- or every year. Or, if you live in a severe high-dust environment, when it looks really dirty.
