So i was looking at the box for the DayStar spacer lift i just got in and it says that it only fits up to a 07 kj...will this work for my 10 kk? ive read a couple threads about people installing them on KKs but none that really touched on this..any idea?

If I remember correctly this has previously happened to someone on here. Even though the box or instructions said the incorrect year the lift was actually for the KK. The front should be the same and the rear spacer the only thing different. Since they're close to the same its probably just a generic box or something. My advice would be to compare pictures of the KK and KJ rear spacers with the ones you received. You could also call Daystar or the place you got them from to verify. |

KC09106BK is the daystar part/kit # you need for the kk. |

Dirty, yea i had read that it something similar had happened but iw asnt able to find the post. Thanks for the reply though! Atthehelm Thanks bud, ill check it when i get home and give the company a call.

checked the part number on the lift and it is correct i took it to the shop, after buying another two shocks, and they told me that i need two shocks and two struts, not 4 shocks..so i ordered them today. Once they come in the total cost of material is $400, that's for the Day Star 2in lift/ 2 KYB gas-a-just shocks, and 2 KYB struts. The shop quoted me at $500-$600 for the work to be done...this SUCKS something rough but there is no way i can do it on my own so i suppose i have to eat the cost. Im not going to post pics of it before for now considering there are stock KKs every where on this site. I will get pics of the parts and all before i throw it in and the after pics for every one.

You didnt have to buy new struts, but hopefully the ones you got are an upgrade from the stockers so you'll have a nicer ride. I didnt know very much about suspension at all before I bought my KK. I read every instruction manual i could find, for any KK and kj lift on the market and really had no problems installing my daystar at all. If its the tools you are worried about, the only special tool you really need is a strut compressor which can be rented at most parts stores. The rest of the tools are pretty much sockets, extensions, a torque wrench and jack stands, which even if you had to buy them you would save a lot of cash and get a chance to learn about your jeep. Unless you aren't physically fit to do it or your driveway is icy, I think you can install this lift. If you have any specific questions about the instructions you can pm me as I just installed mine in October.
