Hello,
New on the forum here, Great Forum BTW. Just purchased an '08 KK Limited with the 18" wheels. Looking to put on some 30" Nitto Terra Grapplers(255/60R18) and was wondering if a 2" lift would be enough to keep the tires from rubbing at any angle?

Any feedback would be appreciated. Been searching the forum but no luck with my specifics.

TIA,
Fredy

you should be ok. i had 31x10.5 with about 2" of lift and it barely kissed the pinch weld in reverse only.

i did lots of wheeling with that setup and it still only rubbed the pinch weld a little because the front doesnt really have that much travel. pound back the pinch weld and heat up the plastic to push it back and reform it and it wont ever touch.

I installed the spacers and tires about 1 month ago. Everything is working fine. The inside of the tire walls do rub the sway bar only at full lock. The wife is happy with her new ride.

You are going to be running a 31.16" tall tire. You will have minor rubbing according to the replies on this thread from Dirty "you should be ok. i had 31x10.5 with about 2" of lift and it barely kissed the pinch weld in reverse only"

So the oem 16s

would be fine with a

275 70 16? or what size is a 31.

You should be fine. Look up "pinch weld" you might have to modify it if you get a little rub.

you will definitely rub with the 275/70R16

I run the Nitto Terra Grappler 255/70R17, smaller radius and width than the 275/70R16, with my OME lift and I've got a decent amount of rubbing. Pounded the pinch weld and removed/reformed a significant amount of the front side of the wheel well to minimize the rubbing
