Has anyone installed an amp and speaker w/o removing the stock radio? I have the line-out that I have to run from the back speaker, plus power wires etc, just dont feel like having to play w removing the stock radio if I dont have to. I have a 2008 sport KK. |

I did it, took some work but managed to hook it up, only thing is I need to find out how to hook it up to the antenea so it shut off with the radio. |

it obviously slightly more comlicated than this but it will give u an idea where to start...to have remote power you will need a remote wire going from the amps remote hook up to an power source that turns on and off with the vehicle such as an accessory wire in ignition but you dont want to go up that far so you would have to research where such a wire would be elsewhere.... |

When I was shuffling through the wires in the drivers footwell i found a red wire that was sticking out of a bundle. It was taped up nicely, looked like it had never been stripped, and looked like it came from the factory that way. I'd bet it is a 12v accessory wire. |

For the moment I tapped into the 12v cig lighter, added a switch to as well, but I havent tested it but the cig lighter shuts off anyways when the vehicle is shut down anyways, chrylser cars do that, my old bosses van did that, found that out when my gps was plugged in. |

if you want your cig lighter to stay on all the time, you just need to reposition the fuse for it. i forget which fuse it is, but you just move it over one slot. |

I dont have any daytime pics atm, but here's a pic with a little faster shutter speed so you can distinguish the individual LEDs. ![]() the yellow fogs are HID. the LED's on the bottom are mercedes benz DRLs ![]() |
