OK for curiousity sake:

Lets assume fender clearance and lift issues arent a concern.

Lets also try to keep width around 9.5-10inches

Just curious how big my Liberty can handle before I will need to regear.

I would also assume that the taller the tire got the need for spacers would arise?

I know alot of hypotheticals here but can the factory liberty drivetrain hold up to 33X9.5 without being destroyed or too much of a dog?

You can't fit a 33" tire let alone a 33"x10" tire without massive rubbing unless you have heavy suspension mods that would be borderline custom. Regearing is up to the owner and what you want out of your truck. There is no "you must regear if ..." Technically anything bigger then stock and you should regear. Is it a must, no, but again once you change the tire height regearing is officially an options that needs to be looked at.

Also this should be moved to the general KK section. The Tech section is only for How-To's and technically information.

Hey Mike,
Thanks for the response! your are correct I'm in the wrong section. that's what happens when you surf on your phone :/ my apologies.

I guess to be a bit more detailed I was thinking custom fenders would open up clearance, spacers would keep the wheel away from the suspension( as well as going with a thinner tire). The idea was to go no lift and gain height simply by going with taller tires.

Looking at the vehicle it seems possible.

No one has ever done custom fenders, lets us know how it turns out.

Even without a lift my previous statement still applies "Technically anything bigger then stock and you should regear. Is it a must, no, but again once you change the tire height regearing is officially an options that needs to be looked at."
