I’d like to mount a CB or Mobile Ham radio in my Jeep Liberty but I can’t seem to find a place to fit it. I mounted one on the side of the gear shift column in a Wrangler I had by the passenger’s left leg. The Liberty is so narrow I feel like the passenger would have no room if I did the same here. There is no dashboard space or room under the radio so I’m at a loss. Maybe mount it to the back of the center counsel and have one where the hand held mic allows you to adjust stations and other functions without having to turn around? |

Let me preface ths by saying that I haven't tried it yet, but I'm planning to remove the stock radio (mine is broken anyway) and replace it with a single DIN radio and a single DIN CB (such as the Cobra WX ST II). That's going to be a project for the summer. |

I have one of these: http://www.walcottcb.com/cobra-75wxst-remote-cb-weather-radio-p-520.html?cPath=340_377_379 Easy to mount, and you don't have to find a spot for the radio box. I just have a clip to the right of the steering wheel for it to hang from... This is the only pic I really have that shows it (you can see the green light from it to the left of the radio):

Wow, Remdawg that is perfect! How is the performance? UPDATED: I ordered one along with a Firestix 4' tunable antenna, 18' Firestix coax, quick disconnect, and SWR tuning meter so I should be all set to rock and roll! Thanks again for the idea! |

Works great! I have the cable running under my jeep with the towing wiring with the heat shielding and haven't had any issues. The weather channels can be useful too. |
