Hello fellow Jeepers!

Haven't sprung for a set of service manuals yet for my 2008 Jeep Liberty KK and I'm looking for torque specifications, specific to the front suspension components ( but any additional torque specs would always be useful :D ). I've got some clicking and clunking starting up (80,000 miles) figure I'll be changing out my Upper control arms, and upper & lower ball joints. Also gonna replace the strut shocks and bearing plates while it's apart, so the torques for the strut, Clevis bracket, strut rod, etc.

Everything I've come across on the Internet so far has been for the KA, and what I've seen so far, the specs aren't the same for the KK.

Thanks in advance for any help provided!

Or check out Clevis lift right here. Or torque specs.

Thanks for the quick reply Ted15!

I saw that link online that you sent, but from some other readings, it doesn't match up to the 2008. I don't have all of the specs, but on this link: http://www.brakeandfrontend.com/issue/article.aspx?contentid=79734
It gives a warning about the torque specs for the 08-10 KK because of possible damage to the aluminum Front knuckles.

Take a look.

Again. Appreciate the help!

Those two references are very contradictive. I would think that after torquing to 30 lbft then turning an additional 90 deg that it would be close to the 60 lbft that the other reference calls for. I have a call out to the dealer for the specs, we'll see if they'll give them to me.

Thanks Ted!!! you know I didn't even think about the dealer possibly giving out the specs for free. Figure it's one of the few things that they can keep to themselves for business reasons. I appreciate the help!

Ya never know, they'll probably tell me to bring it in if I'm having trouble. I've never had more problems finding information about vehicle repairs than I've had with this model. Chitons still doesn't even have a manual for it yet and they've already stopped making it. Haynes doesn't have one either. I have something on a CDROM but my compuker took a crap.
