I have a 2 inch lift on my liberty 2011. I feel it bottom out in the back once in a while. I replaced the sway bar links but think the shocks need to be replaced. I dont want to put stock length again fearing i will wear them out quick. Does anyone know if the the 5100 Bilstein will fit? Or another good brand. Thanks |

Bilstein is a good choice and no you don't want stock lenghth shocks as they will top out . Do you have bumpstops as well? if not there is something else you will need Plus the type of lift will make a difference in shock life. Spacer lifts will naturally wear out the shocks faster |

Where are you located? I still have my old RRO shocks. They ride pretty bad but they're the right length. |

Are you talking about the front or rear now? Need bumpstops both ends You have to look for 99-04 Dodge Dakota 4 WD shocks to get the right length The 132Ls mentioned by Ted are OME shocks |

I got the Bilstein 5125s part number 33-185552 which work well for me. I'm at 21" static ride height so i suggest researching first to make sure those would still work for you. Flex it out and measure both sides from the the middle of the eyes and to check measurements. Found them on ebay from a seller called 'hardpartsfast at $71 free shipping each which was the cheapest I could find. |

My point is with this small lift I just dont want stock shocks I would like to go with a different length that will support the 2 inch lift better |

Tom which ones are those? I dont see it in the post you mention bilstein. I like to get the exact model since I know it will work with the 2 inch lift I have. The only thing is I have a 2011 I see you have an older one does that matter? I thought it would. |

Quick run down Front suspension as far as springs and shocks are the same KJ/KK Rear is different in that the KK uses different springs but the same shocks can be used. Been under a few of both So which are you wanting to use ? The 5100 series or just the normal Bilstien shock that most use? OME 132Ls will work as well heres the 33-185552 from shock warehouse at 83.32 each JBA has Bilstein , cheaper Rancho etc |

Ok Tom thanks I was little confused cause when I was on jc whitney website and had the 5100 bilstein it said this is not for your jeep. That is why I satrted this thread. So 5100 will work on my liberty then? Just making sure those are the ones I want unless you think the OME are better? Do you have a link for the OME? Thanks |

I'm very sorry that I am not explaining things correctly to you. It says ( on the JC WHITNEY SITE) they are not for the KK SINCE they don't make them for a stock KK> They do however make them that work great and those numbers have been posted a couple of times already. Don't worry about what it says they fir or don't fit. Also JeepinByAl has shocks listed on their website, They have OME, Bilstein etc . His site is very easy to shop at with fantastic service ! |
