 Post subject: Is it hard to black out the headlite housing

I want to black out my head lite housing on my 08 liberty I know they sale them new black housing but I don't want to buy them rather get lift kit

Literally just did it this past weekend. 275 degrees for 20 minutes in oven and they almost fell apart. Was very easy. It takes two days tho don't rush the painting

Check your local laws, it is not legal in many jurisdictions.

I'm pretty sure he's talking about the chrome trim within the headlights and not the reflectors or lens covers. Should be legal in all 50 states since the KK renegade came with them.

I used the above how to & it worked very well. The longest part is paint prep & waiting for the coats to dry. It takes some time to get a good result.

Also rockauto has aftermarket blacked out headlights for about $100 a piece.
