Personally if i had the choice to go back and repurchase tires i'd stick with the stock tire size 225/75/16 but have an aggressive tread like Duratracs, BFG A/T's or Gooodyear Wrangler Territory's. Gageraid stuck with stock size and the BFG's and installed the OME/1.5 Lift. Should keep the fuel economy down compared to larger sizes and still looks good.

Generally 245/70-16 is the largest you can go without rubbing. You MIGHT be able to squeeze in 245/75-16s. However, that depends on how high you sit, how much sag you have, and the mileage. If you don't luck out, they're going to rub...

If you have 245-70-16 you might rub at full lock. Mine did till I got new wheels.

245/75R16's will rub when flexed and when turning on stock ride height. With the 2" lift, there is no rubbing. Note, that I am riding on TJ Moab rims that have different back spacing than a factory KK rim.

I got 245/75/16 duratracs at stock height. I only had a little rubbing when hiting a bumb while turning. Now that I'm lifted no issues at all

On stock rims? I wonder if a little backspacing might help?

Back spacing would make it worse. I was darn close to hitting while turning

I could be wrong, but it seems like the tires would hit the flare itself if they were pushed out further.

Yea not sure I thought the issue with a bigger tire was rubbing on the inside when flexed. I have been reading and some people are saying they fit 245/70s on stock suspension.

I mean i fit 245/75/16 with minimal rubbing. Just couldn't hit pot holes haha. Drove like that since august until about 3 weeks ago when i lifted

Im still stock height with 245/70R17 which is the same as 245/75R16 because of the rim difference there both 30.5 inch tire according to tire rack. Only rubbing issue is rear driver side which is sagging 3/4 to almost a full inch from factory height and only when i hit bumps at speed on the highway.
