Post subject:  Manual shift knob removal.

Grab the shift knob with both hands, rotate it counterclockwise 1/8 turn (Or as far as you can [twist it hard]). Then while pulling up rotate it clockwise. It will pop right off.
To install it; Line up the letters or numbers on the top of the knob in the correct orientation. Slide the knob onto the shift lever. Once it stops moving, take your hand (or a rubber mallet) and give it a tap on the top. You will hear a click. The knob is now back on. Easy as Pie.
It looks like I twist it a lot, but I was just making sure it was as far as I could get it. It only really turns about 1/8 of a turn.

I have been told this also works with the automatic shift knob, but since I have a manual trany I can not test it.
