I haven't bought the light bar yet, seeing if i could make the mounts first. So started with the idea of a heavy door hinge. home depot 9 bucks. Figured the length of the brackets after cutting them free of the pin. Used a 4x4 and a rubber mallet to get a good bent. Once i got the bent i tapped four mounting holes and drilled them. Then i cut off the extra and smoothed out the mounting area. I plan to use flat pan head corse screws to mount with sealant and lock-tight. Here is a rough look at the mounting area. how it looks in the door jam. I used my vise and four inch cutting wheel. I may once i have the light make a small inward S bend to meet the brackets to the lights. Hope this inspires us KK drivers to think out side the box and make magic happen. I wanted it at the windshield to double as a visor in the sun and to light up everything. Sent from my moderately smart iPhone using Tapatalk |

I just ordered a set of cherokee 50inch light bar brackets. They are a very similar design to what you have made! Looks good, great idea using the hinges Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

I wasn't going to let the cat out of the bag but.... I'm working on a set of mounts that replace the plastic trim from the top of the windshield to the roof rack studs which it uses to mount to. Still have to buy the light & bend & weld it up. |

I have a buddy locally that really likes the design Sadly I'm not, due to my limited metal work tools & inherit differences between light manufacturers and style, I don't see how mass production could be easily done. Might want to ask AtTheHelm and see if he's interested in making some. |

Hes just gonna have to wait for me to catch up. Sent from my SM-N900P using Tapatalk |

How did you guys mount the driving lights, on the hood, and in the side vents? Is it a premade kit or home made? I have a couple 7 inch hid lights I want to mount on the hood preferrably and along the sides as a secondary spot. Cant put them on the roof, they will be destroyed by tree branches. |

I don't know how to add pictures here but I just finished installing a 52 inch light bar on my Jeep KK with the brackets that are made for a Jeep Cherokee and they work perfectly. And it looks amazing I can't wait until tonight on deliveries when is dark! |

Maybe this will give me some inspiration. How did you run your wires to the roof? |
