Where in the transmission is the OEM temperature sensor located? I have a 2012 with no tow package, but OEM transmission cooler. |

What temps are people seeing, and does your Jeep have oem tow packave external cooler, for example |

My Jeep does have the HD cooling fan from the tow package. I see about 160-ish on the highway, and up to 200-ish in town once it's warmed up (depending on how stop-and-go the traffic is). The highest I've seen since adding in the cooling fan is about 215. I was towing a trailer in town. |

Once its warmed up on road the trans hovers around 170° and has never gone above 180° on the road. Towing it's typically in the range of 175°-190°. Off road the temps are all over the place but once I see either the trans or engine hit 210° I stop and let it cool down. Also I only have the oem trans cooler. |

Thanks for the info in this post, I am using Torque Pro but I have no idea why this doesn't work for me... These are all the PIDs that I have set up, pretty much followed all the variants in this post: https://photos.app.goo.gl/HQMVmw2HDY8ySzCB8 My KK is a 2009 Limited. I am in Australia so not sure if there is something different about our models (from everything I know about them so far, I am not aware of any differences except that ours are called Cherokee's). |

For anyone reading this, I managed to get trans temps working on my Torque Pro app. It was my Bluetooth transmitter. I have x3 in total for each of my vehicles. x2 couldn't get trans temps working, but the 3rd one it works with. I did a bunch of research and it seems there are big variations in the quality of ELM327 OBD2 transmitters. All x3 of mine were bought for less than $5 on eBay. Good quality ones are upwards of $50. I guess I got lucky with 1 out of 3 of mine that trans temps (and I am sure a bunch of other data as well) can be transmitted. |
