Post subject:  Ouray Pre-view Photos

I was able to visit the Ouray OHV area this past Aug. the 8th and posting some pictures from the trails.
The LOST group has a trip scheduled for the summer of 09. Hope this helps in the decision.

Out of 1500 pix it was quite a challenge to pick these few. Still they don't show half of what's up there.

WOW, now that is some scenery! How long did that take you to do? When are you going next and do you have any more room :D

Wow! I move away from Colorado and I almost forget what mountains look like. BEAUTIFUL pictures! Thank you for sharing...now I have some more screensaver images.

BTW, are you posting the other 1451 pictures somewhere else?

Oh, and I'm not just insanely jealous of you (and the group you went with), but I am also insanely jealous of the group of Dual Purpose riders you ran into. What fun!

WOW! Spectacular. Man I hate the desert more and more every day....(though there are Some areas of it that are pretty neat, the mountains kick its butt!)

We spent 3 different days and covered most of the BLM OHV trails. Another day or so and we would have done them all. These trails are kept in excellent condition by the BLM road crews.
LOST has a Aug 2009 event scheduled. Check the events section.
WOW is what I kept saying too, in fact so many times it started becoming a problem for some.
I think I'll post those other 1400 pictures now!!

BTT...

Just to remind anyone who may be sitting on the fence how AWESOME this event is going to be. Seriously, there isn't anywhere in the world you'd rather be than Ouray when a bunch of KJs (and other Jeep-ish vehicles) are converging on it!

Plus, it's during the summer, so if you have kids you don't have to fight with school schedules!

AND gas is a lot cheaper than it was when the event was planned, so you don't have that excuse any more (unless gas goes back up before then, heaven forbid). CO has some of the cheapest gas in the country right now. Heck, at these prices, if you live on either of the coasts or the midwest you could actually save money by spending a week in Colorado!
