I've been to MOAB plenty of times since I live in UT. I was just trying to get an idea of the type of trails peeps wanted to go on not necessarily which trails specifically.

I was just thinking easier trails at night and mod to difficult during the day. I just don't want to get too crazy and break the KJ. It's a long way back and would suck driving a crippled jeep home.

Don't forget the FREAKING HOT factor.... that will have a lot to do with trail choices... stay in canyons and off of mesas

JL recommends:

Long Canyon to
Potash Rd to
Muscle Man's Arch to
Shaffer Trail to
Klondike Bluffs to
Arches NP to Pasta Jays for food, drink and merriment.

"That should be a pretty good day of wheeling. The trails are easy (Klondike moderate) but those easy trials are in and around Canyonlands NP which is one of the prettiest places on the planet. It will be a bell to bell day but it will have a bit of everything with little chance of breakage."

We need to solidify the MOAB dates. There are a couple that are coming over Friday and that's OK with me. What say all of you brave souls?

I screwed up on my reservations in ouray so I don't have a place to stay on friday night the 17th. So I'm going to do blackbear friday with everyone then keep heading west to Moab. I have reservations at the moab KOA in a cabin with a/c. I'm planning on heading home on Tues the 21st

The last day of the LOST Safari is on July 18th, so we'd probably head to Moab on that Saturday afternoon, or Sunday the 19th. Not sure where we're staying in Moab yet. I should probably get to work on that part.

Due to scheduling conflicts, we can't make it to Ouray, but are heading to Moab. Hopeully, we can hook up with the group that weekend!
