A late start and brutal rain storm turn an afternoon run on Trails #2 and #16 in an evening affair that tests folks skills, resourcefulness, and character. Post your pics, thoughts and comments on this day here.

I'd like to call trail #16 'Slip-n-Slide' when saturated. It' made for some interesting wheeling... even more interesting if you had to back down any of the hills... which I did. I couldn't back down on my own without having the front end of the jeep trying to race the back end to the bottom of the hill. Thanks, Bub, for the winch help there...

Both times I had been to Windrock last year had been excessively dry. Definitely not this time - the rain had put a whole new spin on wheeling here. It wasn't any less fun, however. 8)

How many people does it take to reel in a winch line?

I don't think anyone got pictures of the last hill obstacle... considering the deluge of rain and the thunder and lightening... Bub was stationed at the top of the hill to winch almost all of the rest of us up because of the mudslide that was the last ascent. John and AJ were fortunate enough to get up on their own... the rain had washed away most of the mud and they were able to get more traction than the rest of us.

I think it was less about the rain, and more about the wrangler MT/R's we were rocking :)
