I know at least one of us in the atlantic has a cb on there kj, what do you use and where do you keep it? Where is your antenna? A buddy of mine told me the big stop by bridgwater has them on sale and he is getting a setup for his tj so I told him to get me one with a magnetic roof mount antenna :) Any tips and tricks? Anything I shouldn't do to piss off the truckers?

Well im a trucker and there is nothing you can do to piss off truckers (they can do that all by them selfs)
I use a K40 mag mount And a Maxident 40 channel that was tuned up I get about 8 or so miles no problem. i also use a diesel external speaker. I tuck the cb between the pass seat and center concel with the front facing up .
i went this way so when im not home it is all put away in the back . I have a trailer wire plug that i use , one end goes to a power supply and the other end to the cb. When not in use the power supply plug gets tucked up under the concel.

I've got a Cobra 75 wstx something, hand set with controls. I ran the mike cable out the e brake hole. Base is installed in the centre console. open up your arm rest & Unscrew the basket, making the heating duct and carpet visible. I screwed the base to the heating duct & put everthing back together. Wife only sees the mike. Antenna is a magnetic mount, I just run out the RH Rear passenger door, cable under carpet from base & up the post holding the front passenger seat belt...

I have a small CB slid between my seat and the center console and a K30 magnet mount on the center of my roof. But the radio is a POS, sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. I need to find a more reliable one. The roof mounted antenna is in an ideal location for performance but often hits low branches over the trails. I'm looking into mounting a Firestick on the spare tire mount.
