Special ROTM Contest & Land Stewardship

Well I just wanted to remind every one EARTH DAY 2009 is April 22 this year. Also I just wanted to remind every one how important it is as jeep enthusiast to tread lightly so we can keep our trails open.

With that being said, it isn't too late for local clubs to get out and do their part now!!

Not they you guys and gals need any encouragement to get out there and clean up the environment, but I would like to announce a special Rig Of The Month contest to run along with the May contest. The special category will be Land Stewardship. The terms for the contest will mostly be the same with a few changes.

1. Your pictures have to show your efforts in land clean-up events, etc
2. You can enter alone or enter on behalf of your regional L.O.S.T group
3. Picture limit will be upped to 6 instead of the normal 2
4. Normal limit of 10 entries has been suspended
5. Open for 6 weeks

Now comes the sweet part of the deal. To help encourage you a little, We have prizes from:

We have all chipped in some nice prizes to the winner of the contest. If you would like to chip in to the prize fund, please contact me.

Here in Nova Scotia the Nova Scotia Jeep Club joinned a progam the the Gov has (adopt a hyway). We are given a section of hyway and have 2 or 3 clean up days a year. The members go out and pickup the garbage that is along the road put it in bags then the Gov workers come by and pick up the bags in their trucks. We have a sign that says - The next 2 km's is sponsered by the Nova Scotia Jeep Club.
