Yes it's that time of the year, the New Brunswick Jeep Club Fall Crawl will be on Sept 12th outside of Moncton, NB.
Here's a link to the Fall Crawl 2009; http://www.nbjeepclub.ca/soopportal/forum/forum_posts.asp?TID=19142

Typically I trailer my YJ down for the run but this year I'm seriously considering taking the Libby. Heck I've proven it's "Trail Rated".

Before I do head down I think I'll remove the roof basket & lights and move the CB antenna & spare tire off of the roof to give me more clearance. Also I have two more skidplates to install too. Can't be too careful.

Hmmm...apparently nobody else seems interested in going to the NBJC Fall Crawl.
I know that Johnny (Scorpiate) will be going, perhaps he didn't read this posting.

For months now I've had the gas tank & transmission skid plates for my Libby sitting in my garage gathering dust. This past week I've actually managed to get them installed and the roof basket removed. Now my Libby almost looks stock

On my way to Moncton tomorrow I'm going to stop into an offroad shop I frequent and place an order for new tires. I simply can't pass up the ProComp tires sale, I can get four new tires for $600 Cdn (taxes in). Also I'm going to be shopping for the transfer case skid plate, it's the only one I don't have.

What size tire? I've got 17" stock rims that need new rubber. I keep my 16" moab's with the MTR's for play.
Your probably after 16"'s aren't you! darn, I need 235 65 17 in a decent price range (CDN)... $600.00 isn't bad though!

An update for everybody on the Fall Crawl.

Before venturing out on the trail I installed the last of my skid plates, a transfer skid plate that I picked up the day before the run.

I did the Dogs Leg trail which was supposed to be the easiest but "easy" is a relative term. I found it really challenging on a set of pretty worn 245/75 R16 BFG's and open axles.

None of us on the trail, which was a mix of TJ's, YJ's, JK's and a single Cherokee & my Libby, needed a tug or a winch. Sure I did get stuck a couple of times but with some perseverance and hitting the "go" pedal. I now have some new pinstriping and a single dent on a rocker panel. Hmmm...time for rock sliders. I don't think I hit one of the new skid plates once.

Johnny did the Pecks Creek run, a trail I would have done. He too has some pinstriping plus a new dent, this time on a rear door panel. I'll let him post his pics.

There were only two Liberty's at the Fall Crawl this year, it must be a record.

Notice I removed the roof basket? It really helped the highway gas mileage.
This was the first time in a while that I've taken the Libby on a serious trail and it won't be the last time. It was some nice to be able to drive down dusty roads & trail with the windows up and the air conditioning on. Plus I'm getting the hang of driving an auto through the woods. A real challenge.
