Hey there kids! I am new, I live on the South Shore NS, and I just bought my first Jeep. It's a Liberty CRD and I'm looking to trick it out a bit. Has anyone in Atlantic Canada bought and installed the 2.5" frankenlift? If so... What was the final cost? After taxes, shipping, exchange... Did you install it? If yes, was sit difficult? Any tips? If no, who did it for you? How would you rate the ride after the lift? Do you feel less stable at speeds? Cornering? Smoother ride? Etc... Are you happy with your lift? Is the price tag worth it? Since I can't speak for exchange and duty, since I don't live in Canada, I have the following input. I installed it myself, with one person to hand me wrenches while I was working. It was easy provided you know a few simple tricks. It took about 5-6hrs, but I also had a very serious problem with me being an idiot for the first front strut, which set me back about 1.5 hrs. so barring that it should take about 4hrs. I think the jeep rides better now, the suspension is much tighter and more responsive, it takes bumps much better at road/highway speeds, it doesn't wallow in curves. and it feels MORE stable now. I am extremely happy with it now that it is broken in, I was very happy with it before it was broken in, but the new springs were a touch creaky, but that went away after a month or so, but I installed my lift in the winter, so it may have been a cold/new rubber combo issue. I think it was a good bang for the buck. |

I'm in fredericton & I found mine in Kijijii in Ottawa, shipped it down and National 4 Wheel Drive put it in for like $367.00 and got it alligned (in that price) too! O the ride is good, but I would upgrade to CRD rear springs or Heavier dutty the FLI, I like to got fast when I'm not hauling stuff and I run the bump stops often! Or when loaded with camping gear and the dog get bottoming out too |

Any Libby lift should really take no more than 4 hours, But where the franky comes with the strut assembly pre-Assembled It should be even easier. That's my  If you do your own setup with OME's and Rancho's or Bilstien shocks, it will be a bit cheaper than a franky.
