Hello Ohioan's. I was wondering if there is anyone from the Meigs County area, or anyone who knows the area well? Reason I ask is because I was invited out to the area sometime this summer. A former co-worker who recently retired is originally from the area. He has a house on 8 acres of the divided family farm now. I guess his mailing address is Pomeroy but he lives in a valley surrounded by hills and woods. He also has a 2 acre campsite on the Ohio river where he built a log cabin a few years ago. He says everyone in the area gets around on four wheeler's and Jeeps so it sounds like a great place.

Anyway, if anyone knows the area, I like to hear from you.

Thanks,
Oddball.

Go down and you will not want to go back home.

Home to the only 3 story Court House where you can go in each floor from ground level. Its built back into a hill. Its in Ripleys Believe It or Not

Beautiful area, Pomeroy also has the distinction of only having one main street, since its built right along the river.

Also Jorma Kaukonen lives there now and has a ranch where he teaches music, ( he's formally with Jefferson Starship and Hot Tuna )

Do you want to know more
