another 4.10 diff , bought 5 miles from home
Diff fluid looked like it had 50 miles on it before it was wrecked, so clean it was almost a shame to dump it

Very cool. Is this going to be the permanent solution to your noisy aftermarket rear gears? (And the reamed-out Tri-link bolt holes in your diff housing?)
Wish it were as easy to get 4.10 gears for a KK.

Hmm - need some interior panels. Any of them have the dark slate/gray interior? I'm only 20 minutes from the Canton location...

Found a few dirt roads, definately of the unimproved kinds. Have an offline gps app and have some pins dropped. Will have to get a group out soon. Didnt pursue them too far in on my stock tires alone, just took today as a "scouting trip" for someplace to go with buddys and take the fiance. Had a good time though, drove about 90 miles all around strouds and amesville, guysville and almost all the way out to cutler. Beautiful country out that way

After enough scheduling problems I gave up on the transmission shop I was working with, decided to leave it to chance. I know, bad idea but it gets better. The dealer has it right now doing some warranty work so I had them check it out, bad bearing like I thought. Around $800 to rebuild the rear end, ouch. At least it'll be fixed correctly and I won't have to worry about it anymore.
It would've been nice if the shop that kept rebuilding it replaced the darn bearings along with the ring and pinion. Gear specialists my foot.
