Replacing the Duratracs? Let us know how you like the Falkens. I’m at 80,000+ miles on my Duratracs and there is still tread left. But they will probably need replacing in a year or so.

I tried talking someone out of a Daystar Lift and into OME over in the KK section today. Tom, I pointed him in your direction so you might get some questions. Will he stick with Daystar or listen to advice? :juggle:

Sold the Duratracs with over 93,000 miles on them and the Moabs off the 04
They still had tread but getting down there for sure
Fewer burnouts they would of made 100,000 miles :ROTFL: :JEEPIN:
Still running Moabs of course just smaller tire size on the 03

Yes sir , will be on the 03 with 2.5 inches of lift and 4.10s.
Been running 265-70-16s for over 45,000 miles but more of a street tire. Now that I am driving one lane dirt roads etc where I now live, some more aggressive tread :JEEPIN:

Hey you nerds! long time no hear... this chat room needs some chatting!

Hope all is well

After 4 recalls on my 2016 truck.. and a new transmission. NOPE! RAM Rebel is GONE!

Back to a Jeep! :JEEPIN:
Give me a 4spd transmission over that 8 speed anyday, especially in town!

It's a 2000 Cherokee Freedom edition....
(say what?!?!?) :5SHOTS: went back 18 years, and 3 years older than the KJ!!!

Sunroof, Leather seats, and heated side view mirrors. Not too shabby...

Image

It has a new Jasper engine with only 8000 miles
3.5 RE super flex lift, RE Rear Driveshaft. SYE.. etc
Probably one of the cleanest XJ's in the state.... because it's not from the snowbelt..... sat in an airplane hanger for years..

And yes, I know it's not the right color.... but I couldn't pass on this beauty!

Got it all sound proofed and new Morel speakers.

Still has the dealership undercoating... no rust... amazing

I went with toyo 245/75 16s for now because it still has the stock 3.55 gears... and didn't want to deal with all that comes with that... yet.... it really needs long arms with this much lift to center the axle... but not sure I want to cut and weld this nice of a jeep....I drilled a few holes.... ya know to make it mine.... but may just settle with with the short arms..
Wish list is... a little bigger tire.. regear and lock the diffs... hanson bumpers, and a 31 gallon fuel tank.

Best part is.... no car payments! :BINGO:

Oh by the way this chat room is lame, who started this thing!!!!??? :ROTFL: :JEEPIN:

Wow that XJ looks amazing! Nice find. :JEEPIN:

If I ever found one like that, and if it was a 2-door with a manual transmission, well that might just be enough to tempt me.

Enjoy driving it! 8)

Thanks dudes, where is that mudd guy at?

First mod was headlights.... I went with the best and do not regret :2cents:

JW Speaker 8910 Evolution 2 Dual Beam 5" x 7" Black Headlight (Heated)
With the hi beams on they are brighter than all 10 lights I had on the KJ

Then extended brake lines... went with quadratec...

I flushed the cooling system, added a 195° thermostat, all new hoses and new thermostat housing when I got it... plus oil change of course.

Differential fluid and new diff covers will be done this week along with a transmission flush/new pan and t case flush ... then about a case of fluid film and it should be good for the winter. :JEEPIN:

I wonder if those seats are too wide to fit in the KJ.

Hey Chris, nice jeep.
My son has a white 2000 Cherokee, 4.5" lift, 265's mudders, custom front/rear bumpers, and still going with 235K on it.

Hi Tom! Besides the lp30... and color.... what you think of the new Jeep?!?! Silver is growing on me...

Hi Tahoe, thanks! I have 129,000 on the body
Is your son running stock gears with the 265's?
How is it on the highway? Im going to run this set of new tires out and maybe go bigger when they need replaced... but want to go to at least 4:10s... trips to North Carolina have been good with 245s

Just got finished with the rear diff... fluid was gross... definitely needed changing....and I really like the new bags of diff fluid instead of bottles... way easier...

Saw a drip of fluid from the t case... it's nice and pink but that needs flushed.... and front diff still... and transmission... never ends... lol but I think I can keep it running for many more years....

First snow fall was today! :JEEPIN:

Can you believe I didn't go with the red one!! Lol trying to keep it classy... :D

We bought it already lifted with the larger tires, I think it has the stock gearing in it, maybe around 3.55? it does okay on the highway, but the boy drives it all the time, I rarely get to drive it so really can't tell ya. We did have a killer time with death wobble about 60 mph, rebuilt every component on the front end and it still had it. Son was running Ironman AT tires, he finally bought some cheapo heavy lugged mud tires, 10 ply, off Amazon. Since getting rid of those AT's he said it runs 75-80 on the highway, not a sign of death wobble. After all that work and money in the front end, guess it was the tires.
He went to Hocking College for 2 yrs, found a lot of fire roads and the likes in Wayne National forest, he was happy with it off road.

1) its not black
2) its silver
3) its not black
4) its a Cherokee
But I'll approve this one I guess :ROTFL: :ROTFL:
I ran one of my XJs on stock gearing and 265-75-16s it was ok, not as bad as the KJs but lacked a lot on hills

Silver.... line x can fix that problem...... :juggle:

Storage is a major pain in the butt with the xj... I was going to leave it mostly stock.. but I need/ed to make some changes

I'm going to try something... I found a set of 1992 ford festiva front door pockets on ebay that I think will work... they arrive this week... if they fit im going to run down to Lancaster line x and have them sprayed.... then it will match the jeep when it gets done...

Also bought a JCR rear cubby mate... it makes great use of a useless area.. and a Raingler behind the rear seat barrier.

1 will act as a headrest for rear passengers
2 I can attach small items to it via carabiners..
3 will help prevent big items like powertank/ luggage from hitting occupants..

I haven't had any death wobble or any other "common" XJ problems.... overheating etc.... previously 2 owners were pretty meticulous... :google:

Raining here....

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!
