Oh, this is the front of the house we will be moving into sometime next year, my parents' house. Since dad past in Dec, mom can no longer can stay by herself so we are in process of getting paperwork for land contract so we are legally binded to purchase house in case mom passes before hand ( my black sheep sister could overturn the will if she tried, but not this way) . Mom gets to live on the one side, we get the upstairs. I am already starting cleanup and construction of new bedroom in garage and then gutting of bathroom will begin during my Christmas vacation.

Looks like it does need some " cosmetics " but a great older home. If I was closer I'd help ya out
Yes get it in writing people become very "mean" during the passing of family members.
My Mom keeps saying I get the home place when they pass but I want to get it in writing here soon so that everything is in black and white. My sister looks at it as so many 10 acre lots that can be sold to people from Akron/ Cleveland for hunting etc. So she sees $$$$$$ signs and nothing more.

And yes "Jenny" is my Secretary

Yea, house was built in 1906 or '09, even made it through the 1913 flood that wiped out our town/bridges. Dad and I found mud in the lower walls when replacing the front door.

Well, we talked to a lawyer and even if we had it "in writing" in the will, my sister could still contest it and possibly have it overturned. As long as we have a land contract and even if we only pay $1 per month, nothing she could do if mom suddenly passed before we officailly bought it, it's then a binding legal contract with her estate. My sister is bipolar/manic-drepressive so sometimes she can be a loaded gun!
Just something for you to think about.

I've got an aunt that's close to my age that feels she's somewhat entitled to my father in-laws 401k when he passed away even though mom in law needs every penny as she's on $1100mo SSDI.

It is really funny how when something like this comes up who all comes out of the woodwork and think they are entitled to it and have never done anything for it. My sister lives 45 minutes from our Mom and Stepfather yet never has time to go even visit them let alone help them any. She tells everyone its my job to do that, but I know when something happens she'll be right in there.
When my Dad passed away, 45 minutes after the first shovel of dirt hit the casket she was in his bedroom grabbing everything she could. The workshop was next, by the time the rest of us got back to his house all of the stuff was pretty much gone. Vultures they are! I did find a hammer with a broken handle so did get something of his. :ROTFL:

A man walks into a restaurant with a full-grown ostrich behind him.
As he sits, the waitress comes over and asks for their orders.
The man says, "I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke,"
and turns to the ostrich, "What's yours?"
"I'll have the same," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress returns with the order.
"That will be $6.40 please," and the man reaches into his pocket
and pulls out the exact change for payment.
The next day, the man and the ostrich come again and the man says,
"I'll have a hamburger, fries and a coke," and the ostrich says,
"I'll have the same."
Once again the man reaches into his pocket and pays with exact change.
This becomes a routine until late one evening, the two enter again.
"The usual?" asks the waitress.
"No, this is Friday night, so I will have a steak, baked potato
and salad," says the man, "same for me," says the ostrich.
A short time later the waitress comes with the order and says,
"That will be $12.62." Once again the man pulls exact change
out of his pocket and places it on the table.
The waitress can't hold back her curiosity any longer.
"Excuse me, sir. How do you manage to always come up with the
exact change out of your pocket every time?"
"Well," says the man, "several years ago I was cleaning the
attic and I found an old lamp. When I rubbed it a Genie
appeared and offered me two wishes.
My first wish was that if I ever had to pay for anything,
I would just put my hand in my pocket and the right amount of
money would always be there."
"That's brilliant!" says the waitress. "Most people would wish
for a million dollars or something, but you'll always be as rich
as you want for as long as you live!"
"That's right. Whether it's a gallon of milk or a Rolls Royce,
the exact money is always there," says the man.
The waitress asks, "One other thing, sir, what's with the ostrich?"
The man sighs, pauses, and answers,
"My second wish was for a tall chick with long legs
who agrees with everything I say."

Think this way
only not as much space between the top flat part and the bottom tube , just 1.75 inches to keep it high and tight

Look at the sides on the roof rack. That kinda looks like what hart was talking about when we put mine on.

Need to see a front view
But its getting interesting, was wondering how & what mods would be needed to fit an xj bumper before I got this one.

A lot is needed, XJ bumpers are a foot too narrow, full width they come to about the middle of the headlight or so pn the KJ

Well Cherokee and Grand Cherokee water pumps are worth 28 cents each and KJ radiators 70 cents at current junk prices . My trailer/ KJ ( 1/2 tank of gas) and me weigh 5840.
I could of hauled at least 600 lb back out of things I saw on the ground that I "need" :-)r

So either section and lengthen or weld or bolt the ends to a new center?
