After looking at the D pillar in the back and seeing how it's caved in without the roof giving way, I feel much safer in mine now. Dam we drive sturdy JEEPS!!! :D Are there any pics of it out of the water? How did the A pillar hold up?

No earthly clue who Towstrap is, but I am glad to see that the Jeep held up under such a large drop to the drink. Mostly glad to hear he is doing fine, and survived. I know a few guys that have died in roll-overs into the water. ALWAYS have something to cut your self free with close at hand, and easily in reach if your seat belt is locking you in place.

Hi, Well, what you are looking at is the "control head" from an ICOM IC-2720 dual band (2 meters and 440 Mhz.) FM transceiver (ham radio). As I'm sure that you are aware, there is precious little room in modern cars and SUV's to mount radios and much else. Most of the amateur radio manufacturers have similar radios with a removable, remote face that can be mounted in a different location than the radio (body of radio is mounted under the driver's seat and a small diameter cable connects the two). Thanks for the reply. Glad to see that you were ok as that lookedlike a scary roll over. I was in a similar situation a few years ago when the trail gave way, luckily for me there as a small tree that held the KJ up and from rolling down a 40-50 foot cliff.
