ok, well after some rotating and playing with tire pressures I have gotten the MT/R's to pass the "wife test". I am sure with a little more proper wearing and rotating they will get quieter as time goes by.

Now on to armor.... I am looking to get a decent skid setup- not nuclear holocaust proof, but reliable. Any suggestions welcome....

thanks

For you I would say....stock skids     mines scratched/ bruised and bent a little but over all for what we all get to do around here they work well and are fairly cheap.

Well then, do I have a deal for you. Prior to my current financial situation I was able to obtain a full set of Skid Row skid plates for my KJ. No, I'm not going to sell those, after all I might be able to pull myself out of this funk and then I'll want to wheel. ;) What I will do is sell you my stock front skid and transfer skids for $50. The skids are still on the Jeep and I won't be pulling them off till this weekend, but if you're interested you could stop on by and pick them up any time after noon on Saturday. The Jeep has never been offroad so the skids are dent free and just need to be cleaned and painted (please not red). Let me know if you're interested.

If you try junkyards, there is a pick and pull down in Carthage and Bressler's pick and pull in Hebron.... you might get lucky.

Those are the critical ones. The x-fer is the only one I ever bent up...
