Silver.... line x can fix that problem...... :juggle:

Storage is a major pain in the butt with the xj... I was going to leave it mostly stock.. but I need/ed to make some changes

I'm going to try something... I found a set of 1992 ford festiva front door pockets on ebay that I think will work... they arrive this week... if they fit im going to run down to Lancaster line x and have them sprayed.... then it will match the jeep when it gets done...

Also bought a JCR rear cubby mate... it makes great use of a useless area.. and a Raingler behind the rear seat barrier.

1 will act as a headrest for rear passengers
2 I can attach small items to it via carabiners..
3 will help prevent big items like powertank/ luggage from hitting occupants..

I haven't had any death wobble or any other "common" XJ problems.... overheating etc.... previously 2 owners were pretty meticulous... :google:

Raining here....

Hope everyone has a good Thanksgiving!

My son uses a plastic storage box keep tools in etc.

We are planning to Plastidip his in the spring, he wants a bright orange :SOMBRERO:

The 2000-2001's did have head issues, if they overheat, the head crack easily. We also found out that if you swap in 99 or earlier head, you have to use a different exhaust manifold as exhaust ports are smaller, the 00-01 manifolds will not seal over the larger port '99/older.
Hope you don't have to ever replace the heater core, just went through that...whole dash has to come out :banghead:

Tahoe...that's why my jeep got a new engine.... cracked head....
And yes I knew about pulling the dash.... hopefully I wont have to do that for a while....

Just got done adding
Hood struts (no more prop)
Rear gate struts
Vent Visors
ARB Front diff cover
And flushed the t case...

Transmission filter and new fluid left to do before my Christmas road trip.... although I may just pull the plug and refill, until next spring...

I am working.

Better than being at a mall, though, and much safer.

I added a Seals-It Firewall Plug... getting ready to add a subwoofer and maybe some lights...
Image

Got the CB coax cable ran through the XJ... using a JCR mount.... waiting on the stud mount...
No drilling required!
Image

Here's a pic of the JCR cubby mate... holds quite a bit...
Image

And went to the pick n pull.. found a wood grain bezel...
needed to classy up all the gray plastic... 8)

Image

That's all for now, have a good weekend! :JEEPIN:

Looking good , making it yours

Installed new , well rebuilt NAPA right side CV and new intermediate shaft today
Old CV came out in two pieces :ROTFL:
Maybe that was that noise I heard the other day when I was in 4x4
Ordered a new intermediate the other day, next day found a new one I had in stock here
Need to go back through all my junk and do some sorting

Chrisified must mean freaking awesome!
Thanks Tom!

I'm within .075-1 millimeters of getting the steering wheel dead center and its bugging the doo doo outta me lol
Sometimes while driving its perfect.... so it may just be the road surface combined with all the slack throughout the steering mechanism.... has anyone had it perfect?

Oh snap! It's going to work!
First XJ with Ford Festiva door pockets.
Just need to sand smooth and have line-xed!

This is what I started with...
Image
Took some measurements... made some cuts...
Image

Plastic welded them together...
Image

Image

Boom! 8)
Image

Should be strong enough with the line x to not worry about the plastic ever cracking at the seam... I'll have them do front and back....
:2cents: :google: :JEEPIN:

Thanks profdlp.

Going to try and install them tomorrow. :JEEPIN:

Swapped out the Powertank for some BASS!
I made a new rear false floor to mount my subwoofer. I was going to do the whole floor but it was not comfortable to sit on.... which is one of the things I like about the XJ (being able to sit in the back with the gate open... so I made enough room for two butts to sit comfortably.
