Trobow,

Regarding your question about the duratrac prices ( if you are still to purchase them ).
I just picked mine up last weekend.
LT 245/75/16 C load from discounttire.
I talked them down to $160 per tire + 15 per tire for install.
So the total before tax was $875 for 5.

Hope that helps.

I haven't really seriously started trying to get the price down. I am trying to decide between treadwrights, duratracs, and BFG AT KO. Tires are about a month or so away.

First and foremost is the lift. Scott was talking about next Sunday.

Having ran all of the above on the KJ only one choice now for me now
Used to really like the BFG ATs but anymore more money than they are worth, don't go where I need them to go either

I saw another set of used Duratracs 245/75's on craigslist today for 350. If I had your money Tom, I could stock pile some parts :goink: :ROTFL:

Here are some pictures of the KJ. Next Sunday the lift goes on. So I thought I would throw a few up from today. I washed it on my lunch. Took pictures in our parking lot.

Yes, a few times. We normally contract it out if climbing above the second tier. I am a broadcast enginner for WHIO-TV a CBS affiliate. I know there are smudges on my UV filter and I am way too irised up. Sorry to make your eyes bleed with the whites :banghead:

In the parking lot a little closer.

Well 96xj, Towstrap, and I got the lift installed on Sunday. Everything came apart fairly easy. Only a couple of small issues. The new Moog LBJ's were sort of a pain to get in with the auto shop tool. And drilling the hole for the pucks was a pain as well. All was finished and looks like a skate with stock tires on. Ran into a potential major problem yesterday when I dropped it off to get an alignment. Front passenger LCA bolt is frozen. They said it could turn one way about a 1/4 turn but the other way, which is the way they needed to go, won't budge. So I am going to try to break it free mmyself and then if I can't then I guess, new LCA for me!

New lower control arm???
All you need is new a new bolt not a problem
Little heat may also help
Why was drilling for the bumpstops a pain?
Just curious never had a problem

Well.......drilling for the bolts that hold pucks was tough because we had dull bits to drill.

I figured it would just be a bolt...but I am planning on a worst case scenario. I will update tomorrow since 96xj and I are going to try to loosen it ourselves tonight.....

STAY TUNED!
