Scott and I have a strut compressor that works well on KJ struts. It is some fab work pieces that work on a Hi Lift jack. It works great! And the "frame" is certainly sturdy, as is the latching mechanism. I can't believe that this hasn't been done before! Anyhow, it is ready and waiting. Towstrap

Seen similar setups before with using a highlift jack

Good luck!

better ask BOILER!!!!
I have two extra in mine, looks great, lots of others running two, actually mine is a little low in the rear, have always ran at least two extra , but you need to run a clevis as well
Boiler has two extra but.....
I should of done his lift the way I wanted to..... :ROTFL:

pinch weld is the raised portion right behind each tire, have to pound it over in some so that the tires do not rub. They don't always but depends on the lift etc you end up with and size tires

I hate to ask...

Why dont you fab some!!!

I will search it....

Whats the brand for the spacers for the wheels. diamond something

I was going to fabricate some rear upper isolators using hard rubber on the waterjet. Turns out hard rubber + cutting time is more expensive than the $13 ones at the dealership. Others have made their own but had the material already or "procured" it from their workplaces. They are really just so cheap (and right) it doesn't make sense to look elsewhere.

For pounding the pinch welds, do some searches for how to's on this site and at jeep kj country. I saw some really clean ways to trim the plastic around the pinch welds and to close it back up again. Or you can do it like I did and have it look like a mess when you're done...

lower ball joints if they have not is one thing to look at.
Moog K1399s

But then you should ask the ones doing the lift for you. Its always nice to know going in what all they have time for. Been there before with someone only wanting one thing done and at 1 AM you're still working. Think of other peoples time that you are using

Good call, I am going to get LBJ's as well. I will make sure I discuss the details with whomever decides to help and sign up.

Speaking of that.

Anyone interested in helping or opening up their garage and tools?

By the way LBJs have to be pressed in so make sure someone has a ball joint press or somewhere to take it to so a shop can do it.

Can't seem to find the correct answer.....

What size tires will fit on stock rims after my lift?

Or

How long can I keep my stock tires on after the lift?

Many different sizes. There's a wealth of info in the tire subforum. 245/75/16 seem to be the most popular choice.

you can keep the stock tires on forever if you want, may look funny but you can
If you don't want to regear then 245-75-16s like mentioned above we have a tire section that has a ton of posts regarding type/size etc
