OHHHHHHHHH soooooooooo cool! I actually saw one near my house perched on top of a telephone pole! It was so nice to see it, it's a good sign the water is getting much better around here. I have seen them out at Crane Creek but never this far northwest in Ohio.

I stood on the side of the road in awe for a good 10 minutes just staring before it effertlessly spread its wings and flew away. It left me speachless and was an awesome way to cap the day

We have a pair on the Great Miami river by Miamitown, this is 2nd or 3rd year they have come back. They believe this year they have hatchlings. I would love to see them up close, they are keeping people pretty far away from these two.

Same for here in Dayton. There is a water treatment plant that has a couple nesting. They keep people far away though.
