I recently took a whirlwind bike trip of 1,017 miles to Iowa and back. I put sunscreen on before I left and never re-applied it. Here is the result:

Image

My eyes are swelling shut rapidly and I may not be able to see by morning at this rate. The bridge of my nose is at least 2x normal size. In addition, the mirrors reflected back onto my upper arms and, amazingly, my watch crystal magnified the sun, leaving three spots that look like cooked meat.

Yes, I can be useful.... as an example of what not to do....

I haven't been that burned in a long time, but I feel for ya. Keep pumping the water in and I hope you have a speedy recovery!

Awesome, yes? In the last 24 hours my eyes swelled shut and now they are opened again.

Still trying really hard to really not say what I want to
for now I'll be nice................ for a while yet :ROTFL:

First trip to Sturgis I looked like that almost
Of course I am much better looking to start with!
Wind, hot temps and motorsickles are not a good mixture

I was like that a time or two more also, last time was at a outdoor ZZ Top concert.
We made a trip to Meig's County the day before,
also mixed some lemonade with a lot of grain alcohol.
I remember the warm up band coming on stage................
then they woke me 7 hours later.....................
I think my first wife knew I wasn't job hunting those two days .................

Almost all better. The burns on my arms may scar, but the swelling is 95% gone. Thanks for asking.

Liz and I have both had similar bad burns with blistering tossed on it. Man that sucked. Of course Liz's occured while we were on our honeymoon and she was sick for a few days from that.

Glad to hear your recovering.
