could someone measure the treadwidth on the '265/70/16' and compare with the original 245/75/16 and/or with Tom's 265/75/16
the photos make the Treadwrights look the same width as the 245's??

The 265-70s are maybe 1/4 inch wider than the 245-75s, kind of hard to measure with them worn down so far.
The Treadwrights are about the same width as the Duratracs

Treadwright website didn't help, they claim 8.1 or 8.2 treadwidth on the 245/75 the 265/70 and the 265/75, I figured they made a typo somewhere.
but 20 mm - should be most of an inch - although that's section width - not tread.

at any point - they do look good and a full set for 1/2 the price of the big name's
that's a good deal.

They do a real good job on retreading their tires.
I started out back in the 70s working summers in a retread shop and know what goes into making a high quality tire. The finish work is real good and almost hard to tell that they are retreads. Had two different people ask about them when I was taking them down to meet Chris last night. We were taking them off mine and loading them Chris' and another guy rolls up and asks if we sell tires. Before he left he had my card :-)r
The 265-70s sit good on Chris' 8 inch wheels as well, better looking than the 245-75s did even.
