Every since I chopped off the bottom of the bumper I haven't like the way the KJ hitch was so low looking So after Buggin discovered (by accident) that a MOPAR KK would bolt up without too many modifications I went on the search of one Found one in Grand Rapids, MI and best part was the guy was traveling through Toledo last evening so dropped it off! So before ![]() and after, no it doesn't sit lower now just the angle ![]() Now time to paint |

There is a pinch weld at the rear that has to be cut and bent over, an area of maybe 3 inches wide on each side, ( got to use power tools for install then the plastic "stuff" behind the bumper, more of it has to be cut ( than what I had cut off originally) So not hard but holding up a 50 lb Kilby gas tank skid along with balancing the hitch made for an interesting evening, finally put the Kilby on jack stands up tight and then jacked the hitch into place. Got smart!!! Oh and on the left side I'll need to add some metal to it for mounting, only two of the three holes line up, right side is fine! Nice thing about the Kilby you can jack the whole back end up just using it! Offered Chris 50 bucks to come and help me but....... NOOOOO And you are right I am about to lap him and have him One Lap Down!!!!

The spare tire cover was the "only " thing my wife ever bought for or really wanted on the KJ. She liked that cover and wanted one on it. SO....I sort of keep it on for her. Plus that wheel is messed up by the PO, lots of rock scratches on it. Well it will have them until here in a , ................................ wait can't tell whats next for the Heep |
