Getting fixed and put back into service :)

Needs upper and lower control arms, inner/outte tres, spindle, caliper rotors and brake line to be "drivable"

Found those parts for $100 at a local junkyard so it'll get put back to IFS for now, but I'm also picking up a d30 HP non disco, with big joint shafts from the same yard for $60 that will eventually be put in the front.

My intentions are to have this thing tagged and insured by friday so I can drive it to work for the heck of it.

It's new purpose inlife is to be a dedicated trail rig that I can beat the body on without any concern, just like its a 90 cherokee or something :)

I will edit this thread to keep track of exspenses.

Jeep $600
Fuel to get jeep $120
junkyard parts $350
Autozone parts $30
Window urethane $40

total $1140

I was going to say the opposite...there's the whole problem right there, has wrong tire cover on it :goink: :ROTFL:

That's probably what happened, it tried to buck that tire cover off :P

Just tore into it a little, lower control arm is fine, just broke the spindle off around the balljoint. so that saves me a few bucks on the temp IFS replacment.

I found junkyard parts:
upper control arm $19.95
spindle rotor/caliper still attatched $19.95
axle shaft $34.95
complete rack with inner and outter TREs ( I only need the tie rods) 19.95
rear window $65
quarter glass $45
windshield $69
Mirrors $50 each

So for approx $350 bucks I have everything to put it togather enough to drive it to work including mirrors.

Well I must say this...

GO BIG BLUE!
:goink:

It also has the right license plate too. Bourbon County, KY.
So if I drove up to OH with a UK plate on the front, would I get some looks?

I pulled the cover to look at the tire, and it basically fell to pieces.

Or id sent the thing to you.

Found one that is in better condition than this for $1,600. The one I found was rolled slightly it says, starts up and run still. It would make a good woods buggy. I thought about it but buying new tires/wheels or re-gearing my KJ sounds a lot better to me.

every vehicle I own is forsale somewhere and I highly doubt this one sticks around long. I had it listed forsale before I even got it home. But in the mean time I will have fun with it.

Tom you should just buy it now for your spare parts pile.

Went on another parts run today and the yard I went to offered me $1500 as it sits. They said theyd probably bid up to 2000 for it at auction.

I turned them down so I'm not to interested in selling right now.

All glass is in, mirrors are on.

Now I just need front turnsignals and I can leagally driv eit ( though the lack of turnsignals wont stop me from driving it tommorrow to work)

Still need to see what I can do for a front bumper.
