Post subject:  May 7, 2011- 5th ANNUAL JEEP RALLY FOR LIFE
The 5th Annual Jeep Rally for Life - "Jeepin' for a Cure!" Spread the word!! Last year there were 145 Jeeps. How about we break that record in 2011. This is a great event at bringing the fight against cancer directly into the Jeeping community. Remember One person, One Jeep can make a difference!

Tech, I'll be at the Rally For Life at least for a little while. I'll stop in early enough to make my donation/registration, drive in the parade, and do some walking with my cooworkers who have a team going. If my daughter opts to hang out over at grandmas, then I I'll stick around and play in the mud (with all the rain we've had :BANANA: ) but I'll head out by lunch to join up with my son and his scout troop's service project/camp out. I'd be happy to support a LOST cause member gathering! :-)r

Jeep Rally for Life will start as usual at Erwin's, go the fairgrounds to walk the Relay for Life and then in small groups, convoy :JEEPIN: to the...

FULTON FARMS BACKWOODS MUDBOG! (State Route 202 just under a mile south of SR 41 and 202 intersection; maps will be provided)

Stock Jeeps will have a great time in the woods and doing the telephone poles and other usual obstacles.
Built Jeeps and those that want to get dirty can find the muddy places in the woods and run thru the mud bog hole. It will be drained of standing water but it will still be a deep hole and mud based. :wink:

Went to the Jeep Ralley for Life at Erwin's CDJ in Troy,OH. My morning schedule got changed up at the last minute so I was only able to catch the parade portion and was too late returning to drive the obstacle course. I did watch the last couple of vehicles make thier passes through the course and then back to Erwins for lunch. The excess rain really put a damper on what was offered for a course with the last minute change in veniew, but you go to support the fight against cancer. It was announced next year's course will be at Fulton's again with a month's set up prior to the Ralley event. There were maybe a hundred Jeeps gathered for the event in the morning. I arrived with only 5 minutes before the driver's meeting and was marked as #90. Didn't see but a few more show up after me. Teckman was also there with his Grand. (Wish I had never gotten rid of my 98' GC with the 5.2) He might be able to chime in about the event too. I left with my daughter before the raffling and auction began. I did notice a slight increase in non-wrangler vehicles. Cherokees and Grand Cherokees, a couple of Commanders, and a nice Comanche. How many Liberties???? As far as I could tell (and maybe Teck will confirm)...1 if you don't count the 2011 70th anniversary edition sitting out on display amongst the ralliers. Sharp interior with Jeep green leather. I think the best part of the day was the interest a few people had in my KK. Questions about milage, towing, and the lift set up particularly what shocks I was running. Here are a few photos of the event.
