| Post subject: | My Latest Project; Trailer (RE)Build |
Been wanting to build a more off road type trailer for some time now. Kept drawing plans, pricing etc what I wanted Couple of weeks ago I was down home and went back over the hill to check fences and saw one of my old trailers sitting so I drug it out of retirement. Its 5 X 8 so pretty good size all around. I built this one back in 1993 to haul firewood in for my house and my parents. We both heated with wood so it took lots of it every winter. Well I moved away, and installed a propane furnace for them so trailer sat getting moldy and sinking in the ground:banghead: So installed new lights, ( Step Father always tore them off on trees First was a power wash to get rid of the crud. Then it looked to short behind the KJ so did a spring over.... still too short so thought why not, had a couple of tires sitting around that only had 1000 miles on them so called Summit Racing for new wheels, ( cheaper ones) threw the 265-70-16s on and here it is . Now for some paint, more lights and a removeable tear drop ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the original tires and the new ones ![]() little fender trimming needed

I get all of the updates from Teal , have been for a year or more now. Looks interesting if they could ever get going But thats what I want a removeable "pod" that I can camp in on a weekend and then remove and haul stone or mulch during the week. Also no higher than the top of the KJ for airflow. My 6X10 enclosed trailer is too tall and catches lots of air when going down the road |

I saw it with my own eyes and couldn't believe how good it looked (and the trailer wasn't even fisnished). |
