Hey guys- I'm looking for some scenic trail rides relatively close to Columbus. I'd like to take my gf and dog for a day out in the jeep, do a little picnic action, but she can't handle the big trails that I typically do. I'm thinking Wayne National forest might be relatively nice, any other ideas?

Head down 33 to Old Mans Cave area
Rock House, is off 33 near Logan
just start hitting back roads after you get south of Lancaster
Theres a huge flea market right above Logan with everything from new to used to stop at
Several picnic areas in the Old Mans Cave area

I lived in Lancaster a few different times and that was always my " get away" close by area on the Harley, great twisty scenic roads

Wayne National of course has some nice back roads running through it but farther down the road below Logan

Best food in the area
Jimbo’s Bar and Diner
23356 SR 56
South Bloomingville, OH
of course Jimbo passed away last year but still a great place to eat

Perfect. Thanks for the ideas. Hopefully I'll get to take her there soon. I'm looking for spots to propose, and what better way then with the Lab, the Jeep, and some scenery. :)

If you're getting down on one knee type of thing,
Conkles Hollow
There is a trail around the top and also one that goes up the hollow itself , both are very special trails, almost spiritual. Most times not a whole lot of people either.
If she likes to do a little hiking that is.
While hiking/walking, tell her to wait while you bend down and tie your shoe, then while on one knee ..............................

1. I hope your gf doesn't see your post.

2. Good luck.

3. Have Reverend Mudd do the ceremony.
